Karla Espinosa is the founder and creative director of Shine, with over 15 years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry. She began her career in her early twenties, spending seven years working in five-star hotels, where she built strong standards in both wellness and beauty services.
After transitioning into freelance work, Karla specialized in hair and makeup for events and destination weddings, eventually founding Shine — a wedding-focused beauty brand. Today, she also operates a spa inside Mamitas Beach Club, combining hospitality-level service with refined on-location bridal work.
With additional experience in modeling, Karla has a strong understanding of how hair and makeup translate on camera and in natural light. She approaches beauty as a way to help women feel confident, comfortable, and at ease with themselves — especially on important days like weddings.
